MCC Students Bring Home the Silver and Gold!
It's Olympics season and MCC students are holding their own on the medal fronts!

Once again, as it does every year, the Middlesex Community College team did us proud at the Fed Challenge, organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
Students Daniel Iknaian of Waltham and Stephen Collins of Tyngsboro joined the MCC Faculty and Staff Association this week and got a standing ovation from the crowd for their efforts representing the college on the challenge stage
The MCC team finished second in the community college category of the prestigious competition.  This marked the college's sixth year competing in the event.   Thanks go out to Professors Rob Kaulfuss and John Femia for training this year's team, and for Dean Judy Hogan and Judy Mabry who attended the events to root our team on

Inkaian and Collins this month also joined Professor Vikram Sharma and competed in the Annual Regional DECA competition at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, R.I.  Iknanian, an accounting major, and Collins, a marketing major won two gold medals each.  Daniel also won the Rhode Island Association of CPA's scholarship.  He secured the highest score of all tests in all categories!  The MCC duo competed against students in four-year institutions!  Thanks to Professor Sharma, as well as Professor Stacie Hargis for giving the students the support they needed to bring home the hardware!
