Parade Best

It was a glorious day beneath cloudless skies as the town of Bedford rolled out its finest for the annual Bedford Day parade this weekend, and front and center was nearly two dozen of MCC's finest student leaders doing the college proud!

The college proudly participates in the parade each year to celebrate the host community for the southern tier of our campuses.  Thousands of revelers line the sides of the Great Road for the Saturday event, which culminates in a packed fair at the town hall offices afterwards,

State Representative Ken Gordon of Bedford, a huge supporter of MCC's education efforts, was one of the first to greet this year's students even before the official parade kicked off!

The students were especially happy to say hello to some of the goats and various critters following behind us in the parade.

A banner day all around for President Mabry and our student ambassadors!

The students were wonderfully engaged with the youth along the parade route, passing out candy and recruiting the children to consider being future MCC grads!

A huge thank you to the students from the Student Union Government Association, the Paul Sullivan Leadership Institute/Leadership in Action students, and staff from the President's office, Student Engagement, Admissions, and Alumni Relations, who did the college proud as our goodwill ambassadors for our Bedford partners!  And a special shoutout to Thomas Asiamah from Facilities who's our parade rock star driving the MCC float and proudly displaying the national flags of our student populace!
