Big Wheels on Campus

This weekend saw the third annual MCC Bike Challenge, featuring 10 and 40 mile loops, and once again the MCC community, both within and without, turned out on a gorgeous spring day to join the festivities! IMG_8098.JPG

Proceeds from the charity ride go toward the MCC Foundation, which, among other roles, help supply scholarships for MCC students. IMG_8109.JPG

The ride is organized by a volunteer team of MCC staff, faculty and students, as well as community members.IMG_8116.JPG

This year, for the first time, we were joined by members of the Bedford Police Department who helped provide a bicycle safety primer for young children and also helped distribute new cycling helmets to everyone. IMG_8124.JPGIMG_8182.JPG

Thanks also to our partners at the Cycle Loft who helped fine-tune everyone's bikes for them before the ride!IMG_8133.JPGIMG_8147.JPG

Lots of laughs, lots of food, and tremendous community spirit from our folks as well as all of the kids and adults who participated in the rides.IMG_8148.JPG

Take a gander at this gallery of pics from Alyce O'Connell of www.alyceoconnell.com photography for a great flavor from the day, and thanks again to the entire extended team who helped pull off another great cycling and FUN-raiser event!
