These Guys Have a Clue!

They've never missed an outing, and apparently the ninth time is the charm, as the crew of trivia fiends who've been with us since day one claimed top prize as winners with our Spring Trivia Night!  They couldn't claim victory as Mad Men, beatniks or vampires, but did score some success as hippies, and apparently have found another winning recipe!

Despite their attire for the night, it appears this team DOES have a Clue, as they emerged atop the pile in a hard-fought contest.  We can't tell you their real names, but for fans of the board game Clue, you should recognize, among others, Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. Peacock, Mr. Green, Mrs. White, and Mr. Boddy.

Teams are great sports for the event, bringing lots of smiles and enthusiasm to the outing.

The twice-a-year event is a huge draw for our campus, bringing in community members and uniting staff, student and faculty teams to square off against one another in a fun-filled night.

Proceeds from the fun AND fund-raiser go to the MCC Foundation, which helps support scholarships for our students.

As always, teams got into the levity of the night, not to mention putting on a-more-than-ample feedbag for all in attendance.

Props to organizers from the Offices of Advancement and Public Affairs and the Center for Health and Wellness for staging the battle of the brains.

We'll be back in November to see if these winners still have a Clue.  By the way, in case you're wondering, it wasn't the butler who did it - it was Mrs. Peacock in the kitchen with a rolling pin.

My congratulations to the Clue Team for its victory. I tried to help my team, the defending champions, "The Left-Over T-Shirts" by not showing up on Friday! I actually was attending my Greek Orthodox Good Friday church service that evening (but, shhhh, I did check in by text a couple of times to find out the team scores.) It's such a fun event....hats off to the Advancement, Public Affairs, and Health and Wellness staffs for their continued dedication to this event. And many thanks to colleagues, alumni, current students, MCC retirees, and friends of the college for their enthusiastic support.  I agree with Barbara Anderson - I too will be back in November!

And to Vinnie and the Clue gang - don't get too comfortable with the trophy....it'll be coming back to the second floor of the Cataldo Building as the Left-Over T's reclaim victory in the fall!
