Leftovers Rule!

The trivia team, not the food, that is!

For the first time in MCC Trivia Night history (which is only four years), the hybrid MCC alumni and Advancement team captured first place honors in the fall trivia edition, with their team, the Leftover Tee-Shirts!  The team was captained by Advancement Dean Dennis Malvers, who graciously agreed to sit out from answering questions, to keep his team at the limit of 8.  In fact, THAT may be the reason for their success this year, having competed in all previous seven trivia outings and not grabbed the brass ring until this outing!

The Fall Classic went right down to the final round, with the Leftover Tee-Shirts edging the spring champions, the Avengers, from the Lowell Middlesex Academy Charter School, by one point in the final round!

This semester's edition had it all!

A six-foot tall stinkbug! (Don't ask)

Ladybug hors d'oeuvres

A beatnik bagel poetry slam! (You had to witness it to believe it)

Oh, and in between rounds of questions, frenetic dancing, including MCC gangnam style!

In case you haven't figured it out, Trivia Night can get pretty raucous, but this semester's fun-raiser definitely tipped the scales on laughs and oddities.

The event is coordinated by the MCC Advancement Office, and all proceeds from the night go to the MCC Foundation, to help support scholarship programs for our students.

Here's the brain trust behind the operations of the night:

And here's a look at the other great sports of the night!  Congrats to everyone!

Two snaps up, daddy-o, it was all in great fun.  (Cue bongos)

See everyone in the spring!
