Let's Talk Turkey!

Okay for the sake of this blog post, let's just pretend that the wonderful search engines out there on the internet DON'T exist.  Take a pass through this Thanksgiving and turkey quiz and see how well you do answering these questions just using your own gray matter.  Remember, no cheating!

Which United States President proposed that the turkey be designated as the official bird of the United States?

On a 15 pound turkey, what percentage of that is usually white meat?

What is a male turkey called?  A female turkey?  A baby turkey?  Which turkeys gobble, the males or the females?

Give or take five million, how many million turkeys are eaten each Thanksgiving?

Are turkeys color blind?

Which month of the year is National Turkey Lover's Month?

What's the only state in the country that isn't home to wild turkeys?

Good luck, and watch out for the trick question in the mix.  Post your answers below.  First one to guess the most right answers wins bragging rights on BOTH MCC campuses, as well as a second helping of pie come Thursday.  Happy Thanksgiving, all!

UPDATE: Well, we have a winner, of sorts.  Dan "Who me Google?" Martin pulled off a perfect 7 for 7 on his answers.  And all *cough* without a safety internet  *cough* to help him!
