Happy Birthday to Us!
A blog for a college? They said it couldn't be done. They said it shouldn't be done. Hey - who are "they", and who asked them anyway?

One year ago today, Middlesex Community College entered the blogosphere. It was unchartered territory, at least in these parts, for a place of higher education to venture into. Now, according to Wikipedia, there are currently more than 112 million blogs out there, and we're proud to stake our claim to just one splinter of the blogosphere.
Over the past year, many blogs have fallen. Many others have joined (welcome to Lowell's City Manager, the new kid on the blog). And here, 365 days later, the MCC blog still lives.

Thanks to our regular readers (you know who you are - and so do we.) Thanks to our blog partners out there in cyberspace who include us as a link from their blogs. Thanks also to the dozens of spamminators who tried flooding our mailboxes with all kinds of offers of new cars, school loans, and other various and sundry items too graphic to detail on this family-friendly site. And lastly, many thanks to our faculty, staff, and students who have supported the blog by offering up items for consumption. We literally could not do it without your help!
Onwards and upwards for Year Two! In the meantime, enjoy the cake. There's plenty to go around.
