A Little Left of MCC
The Little Left of Center Fest debuted last night in the MCC Theatre at 5 East Merrimack St. (behind the Cyber Cafe) and early reports are that the show was a big hit.
The Middlesex Community College Theatre Company kicked off an evening of one-act plays last night, and continues for two more nights - Friday and Saturday - Tickets for the show are $9, $5 for MCC students and seniors, and can be purchased at the door.
This year's festival features short works that provide a night of edgy, thought-provoking theater. From a witty play about love and romance (just in time for Valentine's Day!) to reflections on one of the greatest tragedies our country has known, the collection of one-act plays provides something for everyone. The plays include "Sure Thing" by David Ives, "Hold for Three" by Sherry Kramer, "Andre's Mother" by Terrence McNally, "Drugs are Bad" by Jonathan Rand, "The War at Home" by Nicole Quinn and Nina Shengold and special appearances by Groucho, Harpo and Chico Marx. Several of the works are being directed by students. For more information about MCC's Theatre Company's Little Left of Center Fest, call the box office at 978-458-5429.
And for anyone who saw opening night - any reviews to offer up?
