MCC Alums to Speak on Business Development
MCC's Career Services and Transfer Advising, with support from the Business Division and Alumni Office, will offer a special program, the Many Faces of Business, on Tuesday, November 13, from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the Assembly Room of the Federal Building on MCC's Lowell campus. The event is held in conjunction with November being National Career Awareness Month.
The program is going to feature four dynamic and interesting MCC alumni who have pursued diverse career paths in the field of business, including accounting and finance, sales and marketing, and small business ownership. The four alum are Anny Chum, class of 2007, the owner of Anny's Floral Design in Lowell, Vandara Chum, the class of 2006, MCC Accounts Payable Department, owner of Anny's Floral Design in Lowell, Simon Gray, the class of 1999, founder of the Jenesis Advisory Group, LLC in Atlanta and Boston, and James Grenier, class of 1995, sales and marketing consultant and MCC business faculty.
The four will come together on campus to share their unique perspectives and personal stories with current MCC business students. The primary purpose of the program is to acquaint MCC students more directly with successful MCC alumni who represent a diversity of roles and training in the field of business. Students often indicate an interest in a business career, but are much less clear about the various opportunities and paths they might take to achieve their goals. The college is eager to broaden their understanding of the various skills, experience, and personal attributes that are critical to launching a succesful business career. Career Services is particularly pleased to have represented on the panel professionals who are launching their own small business, those who have pursued advanced degrees and those who currently work in sales, marketing and the financial arenas.
The event is open to the public.
