Collaborative Action Research Groups

Greetings!
Interested in joining an intercollegiate action research faculty group? Faculty at Middlesex CC, Norethern Essex CC, Valencia CC, as well as from North Seattle CC, Quinnipiac CC, and the University of the Arts in London have formed four such groups - a Developmental Math group, an Art (Drawing) group, a Developmental English and English Comp group, and a Biology group (interested in examining the effectiveness of the use of case studies as an instructional strategy - participants in this group could be from any discipline, using case studies).
These groups will collaborate in an online format, using Blackboard to share creative and useful ideas around student learning outcomes, instructional strategies and assessment methodologies. Some faculty involved in the project will be receiving stipends in the amount of $250 for their action research work. The groups will begin working during the week of January 23, 2006.
