NECC to Host Blog

Northern Essex Community College will host the blog during the week of February 21-25.  They will be using the upcoming week to encourage an exchange of ideas and questions related to our SoTL research projects, and seeking ways to maintain connection despite differences in disciplines and the nature of our research.  They will also share information about their successful learning communities program.  You can respond to our COPPER colleagues open invitation for discussion by using the "comments" link after each posting.

Here's an opportunity to respond to their Call to Reconnect.

COPPER members have intentionally worked at keeping abreast of one another's work and at providing feedback, especially when asked. That kind of continuous communication is hard work, though, as all kinds of responsibilities take the time needed for reaching out.

I've discovered that some groups divide up the responsibility for keeping in contact. That is, one person on a campus takes the lead each week, being sure to be on line, to summarize for members of that campus important news and to respond to queries or postings from people on other campuses.

That your cluster is studying what it takes to create a community of practice across campuses is a genuine contribution to collaborative efforts of other multi-campus groups. Thanks for all your efforts!
