AAHE Communities of Practice
In addition to our COPPER tools, the WebCenter allows us to join the conversations and use the resources of four communities of practice. You can sign up for membership by logging on to the
WebCenter and selecting "Memberships" on your home page. You can then easily check off any communities that are of interest.
Cognitive-Affective Relationship in Teaching and Learning is the title of one of the communities led by Patti Owen-Smith, cluster coordinator, Scholarship Supporting the Cognitive-Affective Relationship in Teaching and Learning Campus Program Cluster, AAHE Campus Program and professor of psychology and women's studies, Oxford College of Emory. Early discussions have centered around student engagement and the role of emotions in the classroom. The community also features a number of articles and other resources related to their theme.
