Who's Here?
WebCenter Profiles and Directory
Most COPPER members have a sense of being part of a larger community (beyond their individual Carnegie group), but many of us have yet to meet in person, and we may not have any particular association when we see the name of another member appearing on the blog. While national gatherings such as the AAHE conferences and the Middlesex Summer SoTL institute will assist us in making connections, it may also be valuable for us to use our virtual communication resources for that purpose. We'll be exploring some possible ways to accomplish this goal in coming months, but there is a simple step that can get us started. Below is a reposting of an earlier guide to making use of the profile and directory on our WebCenter. It will allow you to see the names, disciplines or positions, and contact information for each of our COPPER members.
The WebCenter provides contact information for our entire cluster. After logging in (the link is at the top left of this page) click on the COPPER tab. You will see the "Directory" button on the left. Selecting this option will provide you with a list of all participants in our cluster plus the names of several key individuals at AAHE. Click on a name to view contact information for that person.
What if someone selects your name?
In many cases they will only see your name and email address (these are the default items). To add your school phone number, address, discipline (or administrative position), open the "Profile" menu that is available on your home page when you log in (My Workplace). You can decide what information you wish to make available. Any information provided in your profile is only viewable to COPPER cluster listserv participants.
