The U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia visits our kiln
Yary and crew fired up the kiln in October when Ambassador Heidt visited Lowell. State Rep. Rady Mom and Ambassador Heidt listen as Yary explains the "smokeless" system. When the Ambassador looked inside,Yary made sure he used welding goggles because the temperature was hovering at 2,000 degrees.


Later that day the Fulbright Hays joint project to Cambodia group joined the Ambassador at a reception.

Finding quality wood fire ceramics in Siem Reap

Morodock Ceramics employs 15 young potters producing high quality wood-fire and gas fired pottery. Visitors can take workshops and create their own pieces. We were impressed with the talent and initiative of the youthful owner, Son Seyhak.

In Siem Reap we learned about preserving ancient pottery shards

Pannasastra University Professor Dararith gave us a tour of the archaeology lab at the Apsara Authority. The next day we toured Angkor Wat together with some of his students.
